Here I hope to share with you information about books, articles, films, and online resources which I find very helpful in improving our persuasiveness. I will keep updating this list as I go along. If you bring any resources to my notice I will be happy to post information about them.

Influence without Authority by AR Cohen & DL Bradford, Wiley; also http://www.influencewithoutauthority.com/
This book explores persuasiveness across our multiple relationships. A very sensible book. One of the great features is fully developed cases that explore persuasion in some depth. The authors' website is an excellent resource too. In fact, that is where you find the longer cases.

Linda Babcock & Sara Laschever (2008). Ask For it: How Women Can Use the Power of Negotiation to Get What They Really Want. New York: Bantam Books (Division of Random House, Inc.)
This book is written for women. It gives us many insights into the way women negotiate, and why they often don't even attempt to ask for what they deserve. Particularly useful are the many real life caselets involving success or failure in negotiation by women.
3. I find Kurt W. Mortensen’s Maximum Influence: The 12 Universal Laws of Power Persuasion a very useful book that gives you quite a few practical tips on how to plan and execute your persuasion. He also maintains a website that deals largely with persuasion: http://www.magneticpersuasion.com/ If you subscribe to his newsletter, http://www.magneticpersuasion.com/Newsletter.php each week a brief but useful discussion of a topic in persuasion comes to you via e-mail.
